Catherine is an Associate in the Dubai Office and works within the firm’s Dispute Resolution team.
Catherine specialises in commercial disputes, with a particular focus on complex and high-value litigation across a range of sectors.
Prior to relocating to the UAE, Catherine practised in London at a leading UK law firm, acting in commercial disputes before the English High Court and other UK courts. Her practice included complex contractual disputes and other high-value commercial litigation, often involving multiple parties, substantial documentary and witness evidence, and expert evidence. She has acted at all stages of litigation, from pre-action strategy and negotiations through to trial.
Recognising the financial, commercial and wider implications of litigation, Catherine takes a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution and considers carefully whether disputes can be resolved without recourse to court proceedings. She has successfully resolved a number of disputes through alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, while also having extensive experience taking matters through to trial and enforcing judgments where necessary.
Catherine works closely with Nathan Hooper and the wider Dispute Resolution team on a range of DIFC litigation and international arbitration matters, supporting clients across a variety of sectors and jurisdictions.
