Winners of best middle east law firm 2016 - Corporate counsel award
KBH owed its triumph in this category to the “compelling evidence” it provided for each of the entry criteria, the judges said.
They added that the firm had showed “significant contributions in the form of groundbreaking cases, important precedents and innovation in its litigation funding arrangements”.

Lawyers' Lawyer of the Year 2015
Bushra Ahmed, KBH’s Barrister and Head of Dispute Resolution, was voted Dubai’s “Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year” at the Fourth Annual DIFC Court Legal Gala Dinner 2015. Bushra was presented the award by the Chief Justice, Mr Michael Hwang. This award recognises Bushra’s outstanding contribution to the UAE legal community, having been involved in a number of seminal cases, regularly appearing as an advocate in the DIFC Courts and also being involved in lecturing as a part of the DIFC Academy of Law.
Bushra Ahmed said, “Thank you for all the support shown to me by the UAE community. As the jurisdiction grows and the scope for international business also grows, no doubt we will see an increase in legal activity which will require an expansion of the court services. It is very exciting to be part of an evolving jurisdiction which provides not only certainty of outcome but rulings en par with any jurisdiction across the world given the calibre of the Judges.”
DK Singh, the Managing Partner, said “The recognition is credit to Bushra’s success in the DIFC Courts and her growing stature as a lawyer in the jurisdiction. We at KBH are proud of her achievement.”
